Laying in the south of the country the capital of Santo Domingo is a vibrant and exciting Caribbean city.

On the island of Hispaniola the Cordillera Central is the highest mountain range and includes the peak of Pico Duarte which at 3098 meters is the highest in the Caribbean. The main sources of income in the Dominican come from its rum and cigar production and also its tourist industry.
